The original watercolour painting was scanned at very high resolution to create this superior quality giclée print, true to the painting in size and colour. The giclée process, on archival paper with pigment-based inks, results in an extremely long lasting print.

The male bullfinch is a vividly coloured bird, no great friend of the owner of an orchard due to his love of eating the buds of fruit trees, but a welcome flash of colour in the garden. I painted him here on a branch of yew, as I liked the way the berries reflected the reds on his chest.

The print is available in a limed wooden frame (26 x 26 x 2cm ), or in a textured ivory mount (23 x 23 cm) ready for a frame of your choice.
