An evocation of the richness and diversity of a field-edge Irish hedgerow, with prickly flowering brambles and fragrant honeysuckle attracting pollinating insects: here a Speckled Wood butterfly, a Red Admiral, a Painted Lady, a hoverfly and a just-visible bee in one of the bramble flowers. Watercolour on pure cotton paper 28 x 46 cm. Framed in a limed wooden frame with outside dimensions of 45 x 63 x 4 cm.
